What is Volunteers Week?
Volunteers’ Week is an annual UK-wide campaign held from the first Monday in June to celebrate and recognise the contributions of volunteers.
At Hospice at Home West Cumbria, we are proud of the remarkable contribution made by our volunteers, who share their skills and experience to help us deliver high quality care in our local community. We would like to take this week to say a big "thank you" to all our volunteers for their dedication and support.
Last year our volunteers gave over 13,000 hours to help provide support to our local community, which is truly amazing.

On Wednesday 3rd June we will be holding a ‘thank you hour’ at our retail shops, please feel free to visit our Workington or Cockermouth shops to say ‘thank you’ to our volunteers.
We will be attending the shops at the following times:
12pm – 1pm Workington
1.30pm – 2.30pm Cockermouth
This will also be a chance to speak to our volunteers about their roles and learn more information about joining to become a volunteer.
