Remembering our loved ones
Light up a Life has been an important part of the hospice calendar for many years. It provides an opportunity for people in our communities to remember and celebrate the lives of loved ones who are sadly no longer with us, but are always with us in our thoughts. These events are for everyone to come along and remember their loved one, not just those who have received our care.
This year, our Light up a Life events will take place on Sunday 1st December at 2pm, in the following locations:
St Michael’s Church, Workington, CA14 2EZ
St Mary’s Church, Gosforth, CA20 1AZ
The Light up a Life services will include readings, choir performances, moments of reflection, and moving prayers. The lights on the hospice Christmas tree will be switched on during the service in memory of all the loved ones who have had a light dedicated in their memory, and we will also invite you to switch on your own candle, which will be available at the service, during this moment of reflection.
We invite you to remember and celebrate the life of your loved one by sharing fond memories, loving messages and dedicating a light in their memory.
