I thought it was time to put pen to paper and say a big thank you for all the help myself and my dear husband received while trying to cope with his prostate cancer diagnosis. Hospice at Home West Cumbria came into both our lives with their support. My husband was given Reiki sessions from Claire, I didn’t know in all our 51 years of married life that he had a fear of needles, Claire helped him to cope, and he was so relaxed after each session with her.
It was at this time that I had Reiki with Billy, it helped me with my thoughts of losing my husband.
My daughter had to bring her wedding forward so her Dad could give her away, again the hospice Nurses got medication to keep him on his feet, they certainly kept him going, he was such a proud dad.
I got my beloved husband home and was given help from two amazing hospice Nurses who came to help through the night, sadly he passed away on the 5th October 2022.
I’ve struggled to cope and once again I’ve had to reach out for help, thank you to the family and bereavement team from the bottom of my heart.
