This year’s Jemfest was held in memory of Craig Underwood, a beloved figure in Flimby known for being ‘A true Flimby legend – loved by everyone that knew him’. Craig’s legacy lives on in the hearts of many, and the event was a touching tribute to his life and the joy he brought to others.

Hospice at Home West Cumbria provided vital support to Craig and his family, which is why Jemcare chose to dedicate this year’s fundraising efforts to the charity and thanks to the generosity of the local community and supporters across the region they raised an amazing £3,639.82.

Jordan Claire Hine, Craig’s daughter, shared: “We would like to thank Julie, Kayleigh, Leona and the team at Jemcare for hosting such a great event as Jemfest is. We as a family massively appreciate them thinking of my Dad and hosting it in his memory. A great day was had by all, while raising an incredible amount of money for Hospice at Home West Cumbria – a charity who gave love, care and support to us when we needed it the most.”

“We’re so proud to be able to give back to a charity that means so much to us,” added a spokesperson from Jemcare. “Hospice at Home West Cumbria does incredible work supporting families during the most difficult times, and we hope this donation helps them continue making a difference.”

Jessica Woolaghan, Partnerships and Fundraising Co-ordinator for Hospice at Home West Cumbria, shared: ‘’We are truly grateful to the Jemcare team for choosing to support our charity with their Jemfest event. It is great to hear that everyone had an amazing day remembering their loved ones, sharing memories and all whilst raising vital funds for Hospice at Home West Cumbria to continue providing support to patients and their families in the local community.’’
