Hospice At Home West Cumbria's Moonlight Walk returns this September!
A much-loved community fundraising event is returning this Autumn as Hospice at Home West Cumbria announce the return of a special in memory event this September. The local hospice charity is inviting supporters old and new to join them on the evening of Friday 18th September to come together to walk under the stars in memory of loved ones lost and the patients in their care.
There will be an event hub with entertainment, refreshments and a warmup at J Edgar & Son at Dunmail Park, where the walk will start, creating a supportive and uplifting atmosphere for everyone taking part. Participants are encouraged to wear glowing accessories to light up the night and embrace the fun of the evening while walking in memory of someone special. The 5-kilometre route will then continue in the town centre and our beloved Workington Hall before returning to Dunmail Park. Participants will receive a special t-shirt where they can write the names of the loved ones they are walking in memory of, and the charity have also created an in-memory gallery on their website where supporters can add photos.
Holly Harkness, Community Fundraising Co-ordinator for Hospice at Home West Cumbria, said:
The Moonlight Walk was always a special evening in our hospice calendar, and we are very much looking forward to its return this September. We hope our supporters will be able to join us for this opportunity to come together to remember loved ones lost, while raising some vital funds to enable us to continue to be there for patients and families in our local community when they need us most.
The charity is running an early bird offer with reduced ticket prices available until Tuesday 30th June. They would like to thank FlexiRental, Lloyd Motor Group, and GAP Hire Solutions for their kind support of this special event.
