The FIFA World Cup takes place this June and July, and we are asking your school to get involved with our World Cup fundraiser this summer term!
Hospice at Home West Cumbria have launched their Kits of Kindness campaign, inviting pupils at participating schools to get creative and design their very own World Cup t-shirt, to celebrate the much-loved tournament which kicks off on 11th June.
Each pupil will receive a plain white t-shirt to create their design, whether this be inspired by their favourite team’s kit, or focuses on one of the 46 countries taking part. The charity is asking for a donation of £5 per child taking part, with prizes up for grabs for the best designs.
Holly Harkness, Community Fundraising Co-ordinator for Hospice at Home West Cumbria, said:
Nothing captures the spirit of the nation like the World Cup, and we look forward to working with local schools on this exciting fundraising campaign this June and July! We know how important sport and exercise is for children, and we hope that this provides the opportunity for pupils to not only have some fun and get creative, but also to engage with the power of sport and to learn about the different countries taking part across the world, celebrating the diversity of the tournament – all while raising vital funds for their local hospice charity. We can’t wait to see all the creations!
Each school will receive a free fundraising pack, full of games and quizzes to bring their fundraising into lesson time. To find out more, or to register your school to take part, email the fundraising team on info@hhwc.org.uk or call 01900 873173.
