You can make a difference this Christmas.
Christmas is a time for kindness, generosity and coming together, and there are so many ways you can help make a difference to those who need us most. Our staff work 365 days a year and will be in the homes of patients this Christmas ensuring they are comfortable and surrounded by the people and things they love most. This festive season we are inviting you to get involved and support us to be there for patients and their loved ones spending their last Christmas together.
Below we have put together 12 simple ways you can support us, a small act of kindness this Christmas can help us to continue to provide vital care and support to local people.
Give a Gift of Care
Christmas is about family, love, and being together. Your Gift of Care helps us to make that happen - bringing comfort to patients and support to families spending one last Christmas together. Please, give today, and help us to support people in the local community when they need it most.
Christmas Jumper Day
We are inviting all schools, businesses and community groups to take part in our Christmas Jumper Day 2026.
Taking part is easy - all you need to do is choose a day in December to don your best (or worst!) Christmas knit, supporting Hospice at Home West Cumbria with your donation.
Win £250!
With our Christmas Raffle, you can have the chance to win some fantastic prizes while supporting your local hospice charity.
We have our top prize of £250, alongside a range of other prizes kindly donated by local businesses.
Become a friend of hospice
Regular monthly gifts help us to plan for the future, giving us the confidence to deliver and develop our services. They help us to put nursing care in place, provide emotional wellbeing support during a patient’s journey, and bereavement services after a loved one has passed away.
Christmas Cards
Our Christmas cards are made in the UK and are fully recyclable. Plus at £3.75 for a pack of 10 they are also great value too.
Donate in lieu of Christmas cards
If you would prefer not to send physical Christmas cards this year but would still like to support your local hospice charity, why not opt for a donation in lieu.
Join our lottery
Sign up to our weekly lottery to be in with the chance of winning the £25,000 Affinity jackpot plus a range of other cash prizes each draw.
