Hospice at Home West Cumbria operate 2 fantastic Charity Shops in Workington and Cockermouth. We are also proud to partner with Hospice at Home Carlisle and North Lakeland where our 3rd shop in Keswick operates as a joint venture with proceeds going to both Hospice charities.
Our shops have been closed due to the Coronavirus pandemic but we do intend to open them again week commencing 12th April 2021.
Our joint venture in Museum Square, Keswick, is open from 12th April 2021 and open for people to take their donations from 7th April 2021. Please call the shop on 01768 775830 to check the opening times.
Our Workington shop is open from 12th April – Monday – Saturday 9.30am – 4.00pm.
Our Cockermouth shop is open from 13th April – Tuesday – Saturday 10.00am – 1.00pm.
Our Donation Centre in Workington will be open to accept donations from 22nd April 2021. We operate a list for requests of donation collections. If you have good quality pre-loved items that you would like to donate, please call our shops directly or our Donation Centre on 01900 268229.

Our retail staff are supported by approximately 86 amazing volunteers who are invaluable in the day-to-day running of our shops.

When you make a donation to us, whether that’s a direct financial gift or a donation of goods for us to sell in our charity shops, we’re able to claim back the tax that you have paid on the donation.
As a hospice charity, we don’t pay tax on most types of income, which is why the tax paid on donations we receive can be claimed back. This is called Gift Aid and amounts to an extra 25p for every £1 that you give.
