NTS provides us with a free cyber security assessment.
NTS (Nuclear Transport Solutions) the leading provider of safe and secure nuclear transport, provided cyber security experts from their business to undertake a cyber security assessment for Hospice at Home West Cumbria.
We contacted NTS, and their specialists arranged a comprehensive technical, governance and culture cyber security assessment, with no cost to our charity.
The team worked through a range of suggestions from our IT service provider and were able to prioritise our needs, saving valuable resources on unnecessary equipment, while ensuring we could keep our systems, and ultimately our users, safe.
The team also went through cyber security risks with staff advising on phishing attacks, malicious websites and how to protect against ransomware.
Rakesh Burgul, NTS’s Special Advisor Cyber Security & Information Assurance, said: “It was great to use our knowledge, skills and experience to help such a fantastic organisation. The work of Hospice at Home West Cumbria is absolutely vital, the care they provide is essential, and we need to ensure they avoid any disruption. I’d like to express my thanks to John Tear who completed the technical assessment and Lauren Gorge who came and spoke to the charity about cyber security culture.”
Julie Monk, CEO of Hospice at Home West Cumbria, expressed gratitude to NTS saying: “We are extremely thankful to NTS for generously giving their time and expertise to our charity. The assessment has given us peace of mind knowing that we are now better equipped to protect the sensitive information of our organisation.”
By offering this service, NTS demonstrates its commitment to making a positive impact on local communities. As cyber threats grow more sophisticated, the company encourages other businesses and organisations to consider the security of their digital data.
