Ewanrigg Junior School raise over £500 for Hospice at Home West Cumbria

Ewanrigg Junior School in Maryport have raised over £500 as part of Hospice at Home West Cumbria’s ‘Great Hospice Cake Off’ in September.

We would like to say a big thank you to all staff, pupils, and parents/carers for their generous donations of delicious cakes as well as vital funds to support our palliative and end of life services.

Angela O’Donnel, a Higher Level Teaching Assistant for Ewanrigg Junior School said: "Cancer has affected many of our families lives. As a school, we feel it is very important to support a local charity that cares for families who are facing very difficult times, in their own homes. This coffee and cake afternoon is the third we have held in school since covid and is a great way to bring our families together. Each year we have raised more than the previous one."

We rely on the support of the local community to continue to provide our vital services across West Cumbria. If you would like to get involved, please visit Fundraise for us.
