Dying Matters is a campaign run by the charity, Hospice UK. The aim of the campaign each year is to create an open culture in which we’re comfortable talking about death, dying and grief.

This year’s theme, ‘The way we talk about Dying Matters’, focuses on the language that we use, and conversations we have, around death and dying – specifically between healthcare professionals and patients, their carers and their families.

We have a dedicated section on our website called 'Easy Reading' and this area gives you access to downloadable documents that are created to provide clear and straightforward information about the services we provide. You can view the documents here.

HospiceUK have created some great resources available for you to download from leaflets to podcasts and more, please visit: HospiceUK - Dying Matters Resources

Honest conversations about death and dying are essential to good end of life care and help to ensure that a patient’s wishes are known and respected.

We hope that the content we share over the next few weeks, helps you to feel more comfortable when talking about death, dying and grief.
