Make a lasting difference – leave a gift in your Will
“We were struggling to cope and just didn’t know what to do and then the hospice nurse came…..she immediately helped to settle Mam, making her feel so much more comfortable and brought a sense of calm and reassurance. We were so grateful for her help that night.”
We feel incredibly privileged to provide care and support for local people and their families who are facing life-limiting illnesses. We often hear how the help they received from Hospice at Home West Cumbria has gone far beyond their expectations, helping them to cope in situations which they didn’t think they would be able to. As well as easing pain and relieving symptoms, we have shown compassion, treated them as individuals and helped them to maintain dignity when it mattered most.
How you can make a difference?
A gift in your Will can help us ensure that the people and families we look after continue to have access to the best possible care. Over the years we have been able to recruit more nurses, develop our services and ensure our teams are trained to deliver first-class care thanks to the gifts that people have left us in their Wills. Every single gift we receive helps us to make a real difference to the people of West Cumbria, no matter how large or small.
We understand that when making your Will you’ll want to make sure those closest to you are looked after following your death. But it also offers an opportunity to remember a loved one or support a cause close to your heart and help to safeguard our services for generations to come.
All our services are completely free for those with life-limiting illnesses, but every year we need to raise over £1.2m to help the people of West Cumbria.
However you choose to support us, you can be sure that Hospice at Home West Cumbria will benefit fully from your gift because tax is not payable on charitable donations.
If you do wish to leave a gift in your Will to Hospice at Home West Cumbria, we recommend that you first seek legal advice. A solicitor can guide you through every stage of the process, talk to you about the options available and assist you to write or amend your existing Will.
