Date/Time

11th August , 2:30 am - 10:00 am

Location

Join us on Sunday 11th August for a fully guided sunrise walk up Scafell Pike with the Lakeland Mountain Guides.

From Wasdale we’ll ascend the Brown Tongue path to the summit of the highest mountain in England, with the aim of reaching the summit just in time to watch the sun rise, whilst enjoying a glass of something bubbly, and a delicious sweet treat.

The walk from Wasdale is regarded the easier way up the mountain, but don’t be fooled into thinking it is easy! The walk is around 6 miles in total, and so a reasonable level of fitness is required, although mountain walking experience is not essential. The ascent is enjoyable, and has some excellent views to enjoy as you take your rest stops along the way.

Lakeland Mountain Guides specialise in providing premium experiences from guided walks and challenge events through to mountain skills courses. Their qualified and experienced leaders are extremely good at what they do and are there to help you through the event, have fun with you, and hopefully teach you a bit about the area you’ll be walking through.

This challenge is open to everybody, whether you are walking in memory of a loved one, as part of a fitness challenge, or just to enjoy a great day out on the fells! There is a £35 registration fee and we ask for a minimum sponsorship amount of £100 for taking part.
