When choosing to donate your pre-loved items to Hospice at Home West Cumbria, please make sure the items you donate are in a complete and clean condition – would they be something you would be happy to buy yourself?

Things we’d love to receive:

Clothing and Accessories

Our shoppers love rifling through our rails for their next prized bargain. Whether designer, vintage or high street, we’re always in need of ladies fashion and menswear, children’s clothing and accessories including shoes, hats, gloves, scarves, handbags and belts.

Items that boast very good quality brands, or if they are designer labels and/or are brand new with their labels still attached, give us an opportunity to sell on eBay which gives us the highest return for items. The same applies to handbags and accessories. Unusual items such as adult kilts have also sold well if in good condition.

Household Goods

China items that are free from chips and cracks and have a name printed on the bottom, such as Denby or Masons, sell really well.

Ornaments, plates, bowls, cutlery, vases, kitchenware, glasses and picture frames are also sought after housewares.

Bed linen, curtains, tablecloths and napkins, throws and bedspreads are also gratefully received.

Entertainment and Sports

As long as they’re clean, complete and in good condition, we’ll accept your books, CD audiobooks, DVDs, CDs, vinyls and computer games.  We are able to sell  textbooks that are in very good condition and not too old to specialist companies.

Boxed sets of books and CDs often do well on and older books that are signed by the author, or first editions, or of particular interest, can often sell well.

Collectables

Gold/silver or antique jewellery, ornaments, old clocks, antiques and curios, stamps, postcards and cards, paintings and old lace are of interest to many people.  Unusual figurines or those of a known brand can also be sold.

If items are of high value, they may be sold on eBay to achieve the best possible price.  If you think you may have something of interest, please contact us with the details and we will letyou know if we think we could sell them.

Small electrical goods

Lamps, kettles, toasters etc are able to be sold.  All items are PAT tested before going on sale.

Remember, every penny raised from your kind donation, will stay within West Cumbria.
