From the 2nd to the 6th May, we will be focusing on talking about death, dying and bereavement and how we can support you.

The aim of Dying Matters Awareness Week Week  is to raise awareness of the importance of talking about death, dying and bereavement. Starting conversations about dying and bereavement is often not as hard as you might think.

When someone dies, it can feel very hard to know how to approach those close to them. It can be difficult to know what might help and what to say or not to say. Everyone’s experience of grief is different but knowing how to support someone who is bereaved can be easier that you think.  The new ‘Taking care Through Grief’ meeting can help you to understand more about supporting someone who is grieving. We will share information and advice on what can help practically and how to start conversations to help those who are bereaved to feel heard and supported through their loss.

If you would like to attend the ‘Taking Care Through Grief’ meeting or find out more about other HHWC bereavement support, then please don’t hesitate to contact us on 01900 705200 or email us at info@hhwc.org.uk
