A big thank you to our fantastic team of hospice runners who completed the Great North Run last weekend.
A team of runners set off on their 13.1 mile challenge, conquering the pavements of Newcastle to raise money for our vital work.
One of our runners Diane Messenger from Frizington said, ” Hospice at Home West Cumbria is very close to our hearts, so I decided to do the Great North Run to support them. Seven years ago, when other services were ‘too busy’ to help, they were there within hours to support us through the final hours we had with our mam. Without them, we would not have known what to do or how to cope”.
Gemma Bell, Fundraising Co-ordinator said, “I would like to congratulate each and every one of you for your efforts. Your support will help us to continue to provide vital services in West Cumbria, to help those in need. You are all amazing.”
