40 days 40 items challengeWe love this idea!? Instead of giving up something for Lent this year why not try the 40 days – 40 items challenge? Each day remove one item from your home that you don’t use anymore and place it in a bag. At the end of Lent, donate your pre-loved items to our charity shops so we can raise funds to support patients who have life limiting illness and their families in West Cumbria by providing home nursing, emotional support, complementary therapies and lymphoedema care to those who need us ? Are you up for the challenge?

Things we’d love to receive:

Clothing and Accessories

Our shoppers love rifling through our rails for their next prized bargain. Whether designer, vintage or high street, we’re always in need of ladies fashion and menswear, children’s clothing and accessories including shoes, hats, gloves, scarves, handbags and belts.

Household Goods

  • Bed linen, pillows, clean duvets, towels, tablecloths and napkins, throws, bedspreads and eiderdowns.
  • Ornaments, plates, bowls, cutlery, vases, kitchenware, glasses and picture frames are also sought after housewares.

Entertainment and Sports

As long as they’re clean, complete and in good condition, we’ll accept your books, DVDs, CDs, vinyls, games and bicycles.

Collectables

Gold/silver or antique jewellery, ornaments, old clocks, antiques and curios, stamps, postcards and cards, paintings and old lace. If items are of high value, they may be sold on eBay to achieve the best possible price.

Small electrical goods

All items are PAT tested before going on sale.
