At Hospice at Home West Cumbria we know how important and comforting it is to remember someone you love, who is sadly no longer with us.

Sunflower Tributes are a new platform we have launched to offer a wonderful way to remember and celebrate the life of your loved one.

It’s a dedicated online space where you, your family, friends and colleagues can remember your loved one and leave special memories, photographs, music and also commemorate important dates such as  birthdays and anniversaries.

Your dedicated page can be used to raise valuable funds for Hospice at Home West Cumbria.  Coming together to fundraise in your loved one’s name can be a meaningful way to celebrate their life and keep their memory alive. It’s not always easy to talk about how we are feeling, but a Sunflower Tribute is a positive way to share memories and offers a lasting way to commemorate someone you love.

We are extremely grateful to BBJ&K, a company based in Birmingham, who have very kindly sponsored our Sunflower Tributes platform to alleviate costs to our charity.

BBJ&K are supporting Hospice at Home West Cumbria as it’s a charity close to their Managing Directors heart. Being raised in Cumbria and moving to London at the age of 18, Managing Director Emma Baxter has maintained her roots with having family and friends still living in the area, and first became aware of Hospice at Home West Cumbria a few years ago.

Emma said: “Many of the national charities have big teams behind them and big revenues coming in from fundraising, so we appreciate how difficult it is being a smaller charity in a rural area. I have first hand experience of the help hospice at home offer having lost my Dad to Multiple Sclerosis in November 2019 and meeting the hospice at home team when they offered care and support at the end of his life”.

We love the concept of hospice at home and the invaluable support it gives to families at their most vulnerable time. We will continue to support the charity for as long as we can in any way we can”.

Fundraising in memory of a loved one through their Sunflower Tribute page will help us continue to care for local people in their time of need, offering support to both them and their families during the most difficult of times.
