We would like to say a huge thank you and well done to the West Cumbria Motorcycle Action Group who organised an Easter Egg collection for two important causes.

The West Cumbria Motorcycle Action group have been continued supporters of ours every Easter, and are so grateful to receive £160 monetary donations, and Easter Eggs this year which will be given out to patients and families that we are caring for. The group also received collections for Age UK, to enable them to create hampers to give to those in need.

The group set off from Keswick, stopping at Cockermouth, Maryport, Workington and Whitehaven where they collected either donated eggs or cash. The group has roughly 260 bikers collecting donations from local businesses and the public.

Anne Crayston said ‘We choose to support Hospice at Home West Cumbria as they are a local charity that might get overlooked by people for other more popular charities. You do amazing work, and we hope the little bit we do helps.

Ellie Mcmillan, Communications Co-ordinator, said ‘We are so grateful for the continued support from the group. It is great to see them back in action after the Pandemic, creating community sprit for vital causes”.
