Today marks #GivingTuesdayNow

This is a day for celebrating and supporting charities who have stepped up and reached out to care for families and communities in these challenging times.

It’s a day to make a donation, help us raise awareness of Hospice at Home West Cumbria or plan a fundraiser!

Our teams continue to support our patients in West Cumbria, but what are they doing and how can you help us on #GivingTuesdayNow ?

We have had the most incredible support over the last few weeks and people have been doing amazing things!

There have been head shaves and challenges, doorstep photography, sponsored challenges, virtual festivals and even a charity album!

Our communities have been so supportive and we have been overwhelmed by the response to our emergency appeal!

Here’s what our teams do and are continuing to do:

Nursing team

Hospice at Home West Cumbria

Providing nursing care and support to adults with a life-limiting illness, providing the care in the patient’s home, residential or nursing homes and community hospitals. Offering respite care, compassionate end of life care and one to one support through the night and during the day.

Family and Bereavement support

The Family and Bereavement Support team offer a range of services to patients, those important to them and those bereaved in a variety of ways, tailored to meet each person’s individual needs and are still working remotely supporting those who need it.

Lymphoedema Support

Our long established lymphoedema service provides the only service of its kind in West Cumbria and our team continue to work remotely providing advice and support to patients, their families and other health professionals.
