National Apprenticeship Week 2019 took on a new dimension when we were approached by  team Think Wild from  Gen2  who were taking part in the Apprenticeship Challenge.

Think Wild team Gen 2

Each year apprentices at Gen2 showcase their skills and compete as teams in a range of categories to mark National Apprenticeship Week.

The team chose to raise money for us as part of their challenge – Entrepreneurial. Each team was given a budget of £250  to develop a sustainable business in just two weeks, with profits going to charity. Think Wild developed a range of products to sell, organised store collections and a organised a five-a-side inter-schools football challenge.

Their entrepreneurial commitment and the way in which they kept in touch with us throughout the challenge to let us know how they were doing impressed us greatly. We were delighted to be invited along to the final ceremony as judges to see all the incredible projects the apprentices had worked on.

We are so grateful for the wonderful £705.51 Think Wild raised to support our mission to provide care and support to people with life limiting illnesses, and their families, in West Cumbria.

We would like to send our thanks to these young fundraisers who have shown they have the skills it takes to succeed and we wish them every success for the future.
