Adrienne Easterbrook from Maryport wanted to do something in lockdown to help Hospice at Home West Cumbria during these difficult times. She put together a hamper of lovely items and raffled it off via Facebook.

The hamper included lots of goodies, such as local gin, artisan wine, prosecco, candles, a face mask and hand wash amongst other things in the lovely basket she donated.

Adrienne initially raised £220 in less than 24 hours but the original winner re-donated the hamper and in the end the total raised was a fantastic £250!

Adrienne has done a lot of fundraising over the years for Hospice at Home West Cumbria, both personally and professionally in her role as General Manager at Energus, Lilyhall.

Adrienne said, “I wanted to support Hospice at Home West Cumbria as I know what amazing work they do in West Cumbria, and I know how their fundraising has been affected following the coronavirus outbreak.  As General Manager at Energus, Lilyhall, we hosted their fundraising quiz back  in January as part of our 10 year anniversary celebrations and are looking forward to collaborating with them as one of our  ‘Charities of the year’ to do the same again early next year”

Adrienne added, “A great evening was had by all in, staff included and we look forward to taking part ourselves next time!”

The Big Hospice quiz that was held at Energus in January raised over £2,000. We look forward to holding this event again at this fantastic venue and hope to set a date early next year.

Thank you to Adrienne for your fabulous fundraising from all at Hospice!
