Dearham Primary School launch the 2019 season of Mini-Colour Runs

Dearham MCR #1

Dearham Primary School kicked off the Hospice at Home West Cumbria  Mini-Colour Run season in style on Tuesday with over 200 children taking part.

The first of 10 Mini Colour Run’s this year the children were covered in a shower of red, yellow, pink, green, orange and blue powder.  It was great to see them running through the clouds of powder paint.

Lindsay Walker, Acting Headteacher Dearham Primary School said: ‘The whole school community at Dearham Primary School came together to raise essential funds for Hospice at Home West Cumbria with a fun filled colour run on the school sports field.  The children were so excited and loved running through the paint, they were supported by many parents and grandparents and the day had a wonderful atmosphere.  Dearham Primary School are proud to support Hospice at Home who provide such important palliative and end of life care.’

The team here at HospDearham MCR #3ice at Home West Cumbria would like to thank all the children, volunteers, staff and parents who supported the event to raise funds for their local hospice.  We also want to send a huge thank the local businesses who sponsored the event:  Skelton Building & Joinery, On Tap Heating & Plumbing, Cottage Pie, Maryport Round Table, Ellis Bros and Frank Dempster on behalf Dearham School.
