We are super excited to bring you our BRAND NEW event for 2021...

Join us on Friday 4th June for a fully guided sunset walk up Scafell Pike with the Lakeland Mountain Guides.

From Wasdale we’ll ascend the Brown Tongue path to the summit of the highest mountain in England, with the aim of reaching the summit just in time to watch the sun drop into the sea out to the west, whilst enjoying a glass of something bubbly, and a delicious sweet treat.

The walk from Wasdale is regarded the easier way up the mountain, but don’t be fooled into thinking it is easy! The walk is around 6 miles in total, and so a reasonable level of fitness is required, although mountain walking experience is not essential. The ascent is enjoyable, and has some excellent views to enjoy as you take your rest stops along the way.

Lakeland Mountain Guides specialise in providing premium experiences from guided walks and challenge events through to mountain skills courses. Their qualified and experienced leaders are extremely good at what they do and are there to help you through the event, have fun with you, and hopefully teach you a bit about the area you’ll be walking through.

Whether you are walking in memory of a loved one, as part of a fitness challenge, or just to enjoy a great day out on the fells! We do not ask for a minimum sponsorship amount for taking part, but we do hope that in taking a valuable place in this challenge you will do your best to raise funds for our charity.

Covid Secure Measure
The planned easing of government restrictions allows this organised sporting event to take place but regardless of the easing, we would like to assure you that the event will continue to contain measures for Covid security. The mountain environment in which we'll be operating is naturally the safest possible option available, and the overall group will be split into smaller, individually guided portions. Within this group we will endeavour to keep households and bubbles together, despite the fact the ability to socially distance on the fellside is not too taxing to achieve. Please don't hesitate to contact either Lakeland Mountain Guides or Hospice at Home West Cumbria should you have any further concerns about the Covid security of the event as we'd happily talk it through with you.'
