Lymphoedema Awareness Week 2021

This week (1st-6th March) we are proud to be promoting Lymphoedema Awareness Week. We will be sharing information across our social media platforms and our website.

Lymphoedema is a long-term (chronic) condition that causes swelling in the body’s tissues. There is no cure for Lymphoedema, but symptoms can be managed by techniques to minimise fluid build-up such as specialised massage, wearing compression garments, good skincare, and having a healthy lifestyle including regular exercise.

Hospice at Home West Cumbria have a dedicated and specialist team of Lymphoedema nurses which  can offer a comprehensive assessment and deliver an individualised treatment plan based around the needs of each patient.

To find out more about Lymphoedema and the services we provide, please call 01900 705200 or email info@hhwc.org.uk
