Welcome to day seven of Hospice Care Week 2019

We wouldn’t be able to do what we do without the support of the local community and our corporate partnerships. As an organisation we need to raise over £1 million each year to deliver our vital services in West Cumbria.

How much do we need to raise per day, per week, per month, per year?

 £3,287 per day / £23,076.92 per week / £100,000 per month / £1.2m per year = 120,000 £10 notes!

How can you help us?

Alongside our dedicated fundraising team and our Hospice events, you may want to organise your own fundraising event and involve your friends, family and colleagues.  Let us know what you want to do and together we will work out how to make it happen.

You might want to challenge yourself by taking part in a sponsored activity. We can support you with this too.

Contact the fundraising team on 01900 873173 for a chat!

Why do you do what you do?

We asked Stella, Community Fundraising Team Leader

What does HHWC mean to you? Hospice care in itself isn’t all about dying. Hospice at Home West Cumbria to me, is about dedication, compassion, care and support. It’s about helping people live to the end of their life with dignity and love.

Why do you do what you do? – I was drawn to Hospice at Home West Cumbria through my own experience of bereavement. I feel very privileged to be part of an organisation that makes such a difference in my local community. My role in fundraising can be quite demanding and challenging, but is also very rewarding, especially when I hear feedback from patients and families about the difference the support from hospice has made to them at such a difficult time.
