Colour Run 2016

Hospice at Home West Cumbria’s Colour Run and family fun day is set to take place on Sunday 3 July 2016, 3pm at Muncaster Castle.

The 5k or 1k courses are open to all ages, genders and abilities and encourage people to have fun, get messy and raise money for a great cause.

Some of you may be joining us for the third year running, but with a NEW date, a NEW time and some exciting NEW factors added, our event promises to keep you entertained all afternoon!

The new date, new time and new elements to this year’s event have been made in response to the feedback from our previous runners. The earlier date means that if you’re jetting off on a summer holiday you won’t miss out on the action, a later start time allows you to spend the day enjoying all that’s on offer at the castle before you get messy and we will soon be making a surprise announcement that will see this year’s fun factor go off the scale.

The run is not a competitive race, people taking part can run, walk, or even dance the distance – the idea is to have fun while being drenched in glorious colour. Volunteers at colour stations spread throughout the course will throw powder over the participants as they pass.  The coloured powder is made up of natural corn starch coloured with fully tested food and cosmetic dyes. It is biodegradable, non-hazardous, non-toxic and easy to clean!

Last year’s event was a huge success with the total income reaching over £35,000.
