£30 for 30 – what’s it all about?
This year Hospice at Home West Cumbria marks 30 years of providing end-of-life care for the people of West Cumbria. We want to recognise this achievement by engaging with businesses and asking them to celebrate and support our work by taking on an enterprising Challenge!
Our £30 for 30 Challenge is sponsored by Sealy UK who have generously provided all the stake funding.
What is it:
Starting with £30 you will use your entrepreneurial skills and creative ideas to turn this into as much as you possibly can for Hospice at Home West Cumbria to mark their 30th anniversary during 2017.
We will supply the stake money and the rest is up to you. Every time you make some money, re-invest it in another money-making scheme – think Lord Sugar and The Apprentice! All we ask is you keep it safe and keep it legal!
We want to get the community buzzing and talking about this activity and help make it a real success. Our Fundraising team will be in regular contact to support your endeavours, and we’ll provide materials to promote your activities and include them on our website and Facebook page.
It’s not a competition, but we think that you’ll want to know what the other organisations – and your business rivals! – are up to and how they are doing. We’ll have a leader board on our website with all the participating organisations and we’ll update it each week with the totals raised.
When is it:
Spread over 3 months – May, June and July 2017
In September we will host a reception for all the participants with an awards presentation. This will be an opportunity for you to meet your competitors and network with local businesses.
Who’s doing it:
30 teams from different business sectors in West Cumbria including: accountants, engineering firms, manufacturing organisations, the nuclear sector, solicitors and training establishments.
